This kit is for a Kumihimo braided Bracelet that uses 2 different braiding structures. It takes advantage of the characteristics of 2 of the most popular braids made on the Kumihimo disk, 8 Strand Kongo Gumi for the rope section and 7 Strand 'Fill the Gap' for the focal section.
These designs can also be bought as a Necklace or as a Necklace and Bracelet set
The kit will contain the layout pattern and all the necessary beads, S-Lon threads, Cord caps and Clasp, as well as the basic instructions of Kumihimo braiding with both 7 and 8 strands.
The pattern is for a 17.5 inch (46 cm) necklace before adding the clasp. The focal section is 4.5 inches (11 cm). The final length can always be adjusted by adding or removing some of the beads in the side sections.
The kit will contain the layout pattern and all the necessary beads, S-Lon threads, Cord caps and Clasp, as well as the basic instructions of Kumihimo braiding with 8 and 7 strands. Knowledge of how to engage beads in a Kumihimo braid would be advantageous to get the most from this project. You will need to supply your own Kumihimo equipment i.e. Kumihimo Disk, 8 x Bobbins, Kumihimo weights (or bags of coins weighing 90g and 45g) and Zap Gel Glue.
